Patrick Faden Obituary

Patrick Faden passed away on October 30, 2025, at the age of 78.

Born on the Fourth of July, 1947, Pat grew up in Banner County, Nebraska, and graduated from Harrisburg High School in 1965, where he excelled in academics, football, basketball, and track. He earned a business degree from Kearney State College, where he met many lifelong friends.

Pat began his professional career as a budget analyst for Nebraska Governor J.J. Exon. He later worked as a realtor in Lincoln before returning to Kearney in 1973 to open Ball Real Estate, which he operated for many years. He eventually returned to Lincoln and continued his real estate work as a commercial appraiser for the Lancaster County Assessor's Office.

Pat was born with the Irish gift of gab. He loved a good conversation-especially long, thoughtful, and often spirited debates with his closest friends (or anyone willing to engage). He especially loved talking about his Banner County roots, the Kearney real estate market in 1979, and pork belly futures. But mostly, he just loved to visit.

Pat was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Norma, and his brother Dan. He is survived by his son Sean (Renee) Faden; grandsons Ryan and Nolan; daughter Kim Faden McClendon; and sisters Cheryl (Marty) Miller and Kathy (Rod) Van Pelt.

A private gathering has already been held to remember Pat. The family encourages condolences and memories of Pat to be shared at aspenaftercare.com.
