Richard Taylor Obituary
Richard Everett Taylor II, 70, of Lincoln, NE, passed away on April 2, 2025. He was born on June 21, 1954, in Lincoln to Richard Everett and Eleanor Bernice (Jones) Taylor.
He cherished his family and friends, always spending his free time surrounded by them. He lived his life the way he wanted without compromise. Always ready for a new adventure. Rick enjoyed woodworking and was an avid audiophile, specifically a stereo fanatic. He never 'mastered' cooking but neither tornadoes nor blizzards stopped him from grilling and making 'world famous recipes'.
Rick grew up in Lincoln, Nebraska, went to East High and graduated in 1973. He graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a bachelor's degree in business. He operated and owned his own business and managed real estate. He valued his partnerships and friendships with the people he connected with through his businesses.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years Chris; sons, Chase (Kara), Lance, Jordan, and Max; grandchildren, Calvin and Ruby; sisters, Pam Lawrence and Dee Ann Taylor; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dick and Eleanor; and sister, Sheri.
Visitation with family greeting friends from 5 to 7 p.m., on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at Roper and Sons South Chapel, 3950 Hohensee Dr.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at Roper and Sons South Chapel, followed by a reception.
