Bob was always a lot of fun as a boy and teenager. He seemed to be the life of the party when my parents would go to Ed and Hattie's farm or when we celebrated Christmas at Grandma and Grandpa Waldmann's. I thank him and his family for his service in the military, and I still believe in the postal service even though times have changed. Bob had a commitment to serving our country and the people in the USA.

Shirley and family, please accept my sincere condolences for the loss of Bob. I´m glad it was recently published in the GI Independent as we´ve kind of lost touch. I hope he hasn´t been ill. Please let me that you received this.I´m still at the same address in GI and on Facebook. I would love to hear from you. Mel died in June, 2022. I don´t remember if I heard from you after that. I´m not sure I have your address anymore.

Bob was about 8 years older than I was. I remember going to Ed and Hattie's farm and Bob was always an entertainer. He would put on quite an act for us country kids. He always made us laugh. My brother Larry was a couple years younger than Bob. We would have quite a good time at St. Wenceslaus Church. I am very sorry for your loss, but Bob lived such a good life. God blessed him with a wonderful family.

I am sorry to hear of your loss of Bob. All the memories of work & fun. From the beaches in Hawaii to the halls of the US Capitol `work´ was always fun. I´m sorry we lost track of each other when you moved to Colorado. I will assume retirement was good near kids & grandkids. I have lots of pictures & memories of the good times. Take care, Shirley. Prayers for you & your family. Janice & LeRoy Kirchhoff
