August 26, 1935 - September 12, 2024

Ruth Ann Whiteside, 89, of Lincoln, passed into the loving arms of her Lord on September 12, 2024. Born on August 26, 1935, in Crete, NE, to Jessamine L. (Klein) and Donald B. Scott.

Ruth retired from NBC bank. She was a longtime member of Christian Women Business Organization and Lincoln Berean Church.

Family members include daughters Julie (Lane) Hermance and Sally Whiteside of Lincoln. Grandchildren Jon (Shellee) Becker, Suzie (Ryan) Morrison, Angie (Josh) Harris, Step-grandchildren Nicole (John) Tooker, Robin (Cody) Eastman, 15 great grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her parents and infant brother Johnny.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, September 23, 2024, at 10:00 AM at Roper and Sons South Lincoln Chapel (3950 Hohensee Dr.) Pastor R.D. Fowler officiating.

Burial to follow service at 1:00 PM at the Highlands Cemetery in Adam's, NE.

Memorials to Bethel Baptist Church- inmate ministry program or People's City Mission.
