Sandra "Sandy" Eve Lineberry

December 8, 1941 - July 2, 2025

Sandra "Sandy" Eve Lineberry passed away peacefully on July 2, 2025, after a courageous battle with dementia. She was 83.

Born on December 8, 1941, in Portageville, Mo., Sandy was the youngest of six siblings born to Scott and Agnes Wyatt.

She worked for more than 30 years at the University of Nebraska, in a combination of Departments including Extension, Forestry, Fisheries, Wildlife and Entomology

Preceded in death by her parents, Scott and Agnes Wyatt; her sisters, Elwanda Shoemaker, and Connie Faye Russell; and brothers, Doyle and James Lewis Wyatt.

She is survived by her husband, Abe; their three sons, Timothy Lineberry, MD, Derek Lineberry (Kristi), and Shane Lineberry; five grandchildren, Alexandra, Lincoln, Rebecca, Cam, and Michael; her sister, Barbara Sue Pruitt; beloved nieces and nephews, and a legacy that will echo for generations.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday, August 22, 2025, at 11 a.m., St. Mark's United Methodist Church, 8550 Pioneers Blvd. Livestream at. https://stmarks.org/live-stream.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Sandy's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (stjude.org).
