Beverly Wasmundt Obituary

RACINE - Beverly A. Wasmundt, 81, of Racine, passed away peacefully, Monday, March 5, 2018 at Naturally Nurturing Place. She was born on July 7, 1936 to the late Theodore A. and Lillian (Pedersen) Bidwell in Racine. She was educated in the schools of Racine and graduated from Park High School in 1955. On June 22, 1957 she married the love of her life, John R. Wasmundt, Sr in Racine. Beverly was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her greatest joys were her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Not only did she have an unending love for her family, but she extended that love to 23 babies and a toddler that she fostered in her home until they were able to be adopted. She was a member of Apostolic Faith Church in Pleasant Prairie where she was the Ladies Auxiliary President for the church and taught Sunday School to toddlers for over 30 years. Beverly will be most remembered for her passion of baking, especially her cookies and candies. She used this passion to raise money for missions and church improvements. She also enjoyed knitting, sewing and canning. She found her fulfillment in helping those in need. Beverly is survived by her husband John, her children James (Cynthia) Wasmundt of Racine and Kristine (Mark) Wick of Raymond, daughter-in-law, Pamela Wasmundt of Cedar Lake, IN, her grandchildren Joshua (Holly) Wasmundt, James (Nicole) Wasmundt, Paul Wasmundt, Caitlyn (Andrew) Barnett, Kevin Wick, Matthew Wick and Allison Wick, her great grandchildren Addilyn, Nolan, Lillian, Maddisyn and Noah, her brother Theodore (Donna) Bidwell of Mount Pleasant and her sister Barbara (Robert) Krismanich of Racine. Beverly is preceded in death by her eldest son, John R. Wasmundt, Jr. Funeral Services for Beverly will be held on Saturday, March 10th at 5:00 p.m. at Apostolic Faith Church (1021 – 95th St. Pleasant Prairie). Visitation will be held on Saturday from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service at the church. Private Burial will take place at West Lawn Memorial Park.
