Julianna Osimitz Obituary

DEERFIELD, ILL. - Mrs. Julianna 'Julie' (nee: Wiernasz) Osimitz, 85, formerly of Racine, passed away at Highland Park Hospital in Highland Park, Ill. on Friday, October 13, 2006. Julie was born in Racine to the late Walter and Leonora (nee: Grimska) Wiernasz on December 11, 1920. She had lived in Racine for most of her life. She was united in marriage to Victor Osimitz on August 19, 1944. Mrs. Osimitz was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church. Julie is survived by two sons, Dennis (Mary) Osimitz of Glencoe, Ill. and Thomas (Becky) Osimitz of Charlottesville, Va.; and five grandsons, Jeff, Kevin, Victor, Sam, and Gus. She was preceded in death by her husband, Victor on July 8, 2000; her daughter, Janet Napier; four sisters; and three brothers. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church on Monday, October 23, 2006, at 11 a.m. with Fr. William Dietzler celebrating. Entombment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the Wilson Funeral Home on Sunday afternoon from 3 until 5 p.m. Memorials may be directed to St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church or to the Nature Conservancy.
