Devine's! The best place to hang out on a Saturday, any day actually. As a kid I was there, with my Dad, with Pat's Dad. Barrel chair, cigar smoking kind of a sports joint. When I needed a pair of blue suede Adida's size 9, (Weber you got those from me) I got them. Traded them to Tony Weber for a glove as I recall. I saw Pat last as I drove by Tuesday afternoon as he was sitting out on Douglas Avenue, not knowing it would be the last time. I will miss those times at Devines. I played ball under the Devine's sponsorship flag for many years, Pat was always about taking care of his players, of his people. It's not so much that the store is gone, it's about Pat. Pat kept it real. The hip sports guy on Douglas Avenue. Pat Devine. You kept it real. You will be missed. God Bless. Mick.

I will always remember the times/memories for the past 20 years when I worked across the street from Pat that he would always sit out front, ALWAYS made a wave to me and just last Monday watching him eat his lunch with his friends, He was always there for me and my business. When I needed help, he was there, when I had to vent, he was there, RIP young man, I will miss you soooo much, looking across the street will NEVER be the same but your memories will always be in my heart... RIP
