Paul Kerner Obituary

Paul Spencer Kerner
RACINE- Paul Spencer Kerner, age 40, passed away on February 3, 2016 at Wheaton Franciscan All-Saints Hospital after an extended illness. Paul was born in Racine on April 7, 1975 to Nancy (nee: Robinson) Evans and David Kerner. He was educated in local schools and graduated from J.I. Case High School in 1993. Paul proudly served his country in the US Army Reserves. He was employed at Goodyear Tire Service, servicing tractor trailer tires, J.W. Peters in Burlington, and most recently at Factory Cat of the RPS Corporation. Growing up, Paul was a very active kid and was involved in many activities where he made many long-standing friends. Paul was interested in horticulture and enjoyed many genres of music and a variety of sports, especially the Carolina Panthers. He absolutely loved his dog, Patches. Paul had an infectious personality and would make you laugh. He was “one of the lost Stooges.” Left to cherish Paul’s memory are his mother and step-father, Nancy and Joe Evans; his father and step-mother, David and Mary Kerner; two brothers: Ryan Kerner and Jay Kerner, 4 nieces: Nadia, Johanna, Madison, Regne; 2 nephews, Owen and Reggie; Aunts, Uncles, other relatives, and many friends. Paul was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, John and Anna Robinson, paternal grandparents, Lawrence and Loretta Kerner, and an uncle, David Robinson. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the following for the loving care shown to Paul: The 3rd floor staff at Wheaton-Franciscan All Saints, Dr. Choi and the oncology staff, his special friend, Callina Wilson, and his best friend, Rob Evinic, who was at Paul’s side when he passed. A funeral service for Paul will be held on Monday, February 8, 2016 at 6:30 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home. A visitation will be held on Monday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Children’s Hospital in Milwaukee in Paul’s name. Online condolences may be expressed at www.wilsonfuneralhomeracine.org.
