Scott Alan Gibbs
July 4, 1962 - Dec. 5, 2021
EAST TROY – Scott Alan Gibbs passed away at his residence in East Troy on December 5, 2021.
He was born on July 4, 1962, to LaVern "Vern" and Hazel (nee. Schmid). Scott was an all-around outdoorsman who loved fishing, hunting, bonfires, and being outdoors in any season. He loved spending time on his boat at his Burlington house on the lake. Scott took pride in helping out and enjoying time at Clarence's farm. He was an avid Packer fan and loved watching the games on Sundays. Scott enjoyed celebrating his Fourth of July birthday and reminding everyone that the fireworks were actually for him on that day. He had an exemplary work ethic. He frequently worked multiple jobs primarily doing maintenance in the healthcare industry. Scott made strangers into friends, neighbors into best friends, and best friends into family.
Scott is survived by his children: Brianne Plesinger, Katrina (Nicholas) Groth and Adam (Melanie) Gibbs; parents, Vern and Hazel Gibbs; siblings: Mark (Pam), Linda, Mary, Susan, Lisa, and Heather (Paul); ex-wife, Ann Krahn; and many grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews and true lifelong friends.
Scott was preceded in death by his beloved dogs, Milo and Chicken.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on December 13, 2021, from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. with a memorial service to directly follow. Miller Reesman Funeral Home.

Sympathy to Scott's family. I haven't seen Scott for a number of years since I'm retired in Florida but back in the pre-Favre and Favre eras we watched a lot of Packer football together. Just a great guy to be around.

I worked with Scott years back at Taco Bell at the corner of 21st and Lathrop. Those were some of the best people to ever work with, and some of the best years of my life. Many years after that I went to work with Scott at Rocky Rococo's. Scott was a very lovable, caring, kind, hard working man that anyone would find pride in to call friend. My birthday is July 2nd with his being the 4th...........We ruled July!!!!!!!!!! I was so sad to hear of his passing, he will dearly be missed. I thank God that he passed my way. Rest on Scott, my friend. Family stay strong and hold onto each other for the support you need to get through.
