Albert Frackelton Obituary

Frackelton, Albert Goodrich Died November 2008, after a short illness. A man who loved words, opera, theater, travel and beauty. Albert also loved Bjorg Dynna Frackelton, his wife of 50 years; his son, Sven (Arlene Reist) of Sarasota, Florida; his daughter Anne (John) Decker of Hilbert, Wisconsin; his granddaughters; nephew, Bill Frackelton, and niece, Susy (Frackelton) Wright and their children and grandchildren. Albert also loved the sisters, brothers, nieces and nephews in Norway that he inherited when he married Bjorg. Their visits to Norway occasioned parties large and small making memories on both sides of the Atlantic. Eager to share this goodwill here in this country, they opened their home to foreign exchange students at Port Washington High School, becoming "Mom and Dad" to kids from Japan, France, Belgium, Norway, Finland, and Sweden; visiting most of them in their homelands and welcoming them and their families on return visits to the USA. Albert worked as a mortgage attorney for First Wisconsin National Bank in Milwaukee. He was a member of the Port Washington Town Board for many years; a card-carrying, lutefisk-loving member of The Sons of Norway; and a much-loved member of St. Simon the Fisherman Episcopal Church of Port Washington. There shall be a memorial service for both Albert and his wife, Bjorg, at St. Simon the Fisherman Episcopal Church in Port Washington, Wisconsin, May 18, 2013, at 12 noon.
