May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

Amanda Van Eimeren was my oldest cousin which means I have looked up to her for my whole life. God took her on his plan this weekend and not ours. I grew up wanting to be just like you. I even lied to my friends and myspace profile for a while saying I liked bands like Shinedown and 3 days grace just because you did. I started watching a lot of shows just because you did like Buffy when I was too young to even understand it. I thought you were the coolest person for getting a playboy bunny tattoo. I wanted to always go in your room when I visited or sit and watch tv with you. You had a car, a job, and a boyfriend in high school which made me want the same things. You went to college which pushed me even more to go to one. You joined a sorority so I joined one and told all of my friends about you. You moved away with friends after college which made me plan with my friends to all move out of state too because that's what I thought it meant to be an adult. You did cool dances with our older cousins at family get togethers so I wanted to join. I followed your whole life from a far without you even probably knowing how much I wanted to be you. Me and Allison Van Eimeren grew up together but you were the one who I was trying to copy. Even over the years far away you would always like and comment on bits and pieces of my life to show you cared. I love you so much that it hurts to breathe. I am without words. My heart hurts so much for my God parents Cindy Salzman Van Eimeren and Geoff Van Eimeren who were the best God parents a kid could ask for. They have always been there for me and made me feel special and wanted. They don't deserve this and neither does Allison. Allison is one of the sweetest people I have ever known. I promise to be better to them and be there for them and make sure our family becomes stronger than ever. Please pray for our family as we go through the hardest thing we have ever gone through. RIP Amanda, the most funny, coolest, sweet older cousin a girl could have and want. I am sorry I never let you know how much I loved and admired you. I hope you know now.
