Dear Joe,
Anna made a great impression on me in my early adolescent years. Being five years older than I, she was a role model, showing me how a young woman behaves. Her innocent enthusiasm for life, her honest outlook on issues, and her internal as well as external beauty guided me as I grew. When I was included as a member of your wedding party, I was thrilled. I remember the many activities she and you took me to during those years – picnics, miniature golf, church activities, the Wisconsin State Fair, folk dancing (she was always the best and taught me a few mean steps). She has always remained in a special place in my heart. After too many years, we ran into the two of you recently at a family reunion, which gave Ed the opportunity to experience the sparkle of her presence. Hence, we both now share a void at her loss. Our thoughts are with you, dear Joe.

Dear Joe and Family,
Mom, Bill and I all give you our deepest sympathy for your loss. I have many vivd and happy memories of our youth, when you and Anna let me "hang out" with you at dances, etc. You were my role models. I am grateful that I was able to reunite with the two of you last year after so many years apart. We pray that God will give you the strength to carry you through this difficult period. God bless.
