I am a veteran of operation iraqi freedom.I have known ben only for a short time.I never made friends with anyone and definetly never talked about feelings with another man .Ben is one the best friends i ever had.I first met him when we both applied for the same job. When we were leaving he asked if i was taking the bus.He offerd me a ride home. And i accepted.it was quiet in the car for about a mile.he asked if something was bothering me.And not even knowing him for three hours i told him everything wrong i had done in my life...I have done alot of bad things in the past and turned my back on spirituality from a previous friends death. But i could see something in him that i wanted to be like. I didnt know what a man was supposed to be like other than what the military shown me.But i will say if there were ever someone in my life to be called a role model it was ben a kind, generous, humble,Man of god.

Goodness...words has not been created to describe the pain that's felt when a loved one is taken from your life. I want to send my prayers and time to the Ben's children, family, and love ones. I know, personally, the strain this type of situation has on you. It's far from bearable...but in time the load is lifted, but never taken away. Ben remains here w/us all through his children and through our memories.

Yolonda & Zsa Zsa, every time you look into your children’s eyes Ben is there looking back at you. Stay strong and lean on God, because prayer and reminiscing is the only medicine, I find, that helps heal. Be strong for those children too....they need you to keep their father's memory in them.

I’ve known Ben since high school. I was so proud to hear about his walk with the Lord and his present life’s role. I remember my sophomore year I had to have knee surgery and the doctors wanted me to either stay home to heal or use a wheelchair. I refused to do either. I said “if my guy can do it...I can do it”. That is what Ben is….inspiration! And that’s what I will remember him by; not only as my friend, a kind hearted person, a father, a husband, and a man of God…but as inspiration.

Dear Zsa Zsa,
I learned of this terrible tradgedy last Saturday when I stopped in at Super Cuts and Terri let me know that it was your husband that was killed. My little boy Julian is one of your clients and is crazy about you (the little bi-racial fella that was always sweating you for some licorice!). I am a recently single mom of six children. It's not an easy road but with God all things are possible (even when it doesn't feel like it). God will provide you with comfort , peace and all that you need. Simply trust Him. He is faithful and just. He will wrap His loving arms around you and your children. Hold your precious memories close, they will always give you a lift even on the toughtest days. Hope to see you back in the salon sometime.

Words cannot express how I feel right now. I have a loss of words. My prayers and thoughts are with the family.

I met Ben years ago and I must say: He was one of the coolest people you'd ever want to meet. He always walked with his head up and was a gentleman at ALL times. He was a well-respected individual and that I will miss.

To the Beloveth Wife and Family of Bro Benjamin Haney:

My deepest sympathy for the lost of your dear Husband, Brother, and dedicated member at Great Faith Progressive Missionary Bapatist Church. Rest assure he is with his Heavenly Father looking down smiling at you and his family. Stay with God and never leave him because he will bring you comfort in your time of need. JUST TRUST GOD!! Just seven years ago I was in your shoes, but only GOD comfort me through this diffcult time and for years to come. Ben thirst for God and his Holy word and just remember 2 Corinthians 5:6-8 Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent form the Lord. For we walk by faith, not by sight. We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. Ben loved the Lord in this was his Mission. My prayers are with you and the family. Love you Sis Jolly

Hello,
I met Ben through my daughter. he was such a nice young man whenever he was in my home. Words can not express what i'm feeling right now. But please know that you all are in my prayers.

May 14, 2008

ZsaZsa & Family,

Words will never express our feelings for you at this time. We will continue to keep you in our prayers knowing that God is near to the broken-hearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. (Ps 34;18)
There is nothing too hard for God...including this!

Although Ben's time here was short, he accomplished something that many live years and never get around to doing...He accepted Jesus Christ. Rest in that truth alone Zsa and let God do the rest.

We thank God for having allowed us the privilege of meeting Ben, hearing Ben's testimony, and watching him grow in grace. His presence, his smile, his words spoken with intelligence, along with watching his love for you Zsa and the children will be missed by many. Should you need us, we're just a phone call away.

We love you dearly!

The Price of Love

Grief never ends, But it changes. It’s a passage, Not a place to stay.

The sense of loss Must give way, If we’re to value The life that was lived.

Grief is not a sign of weakness, Nor a lack of faith, It is the price of love.
You will be greatly missed Ben.

Zsa Zsa, I cant even wrap my mind around what you are going through, but I trust that God will give you strength, love, guidance, courage that you need in your time of bereavement. Keep your eyes on the sparrow.
