Carl T. Wisniewski

Wisniewski, Carl T. Passed away peacefully on Dec. 3, 2013, at the age of 90. Beloved husband of the late Dorothy (nee Wieprzyk). Dear father of Susan (Christopher) Lapinski and Sharon (Todd) Michalak. Cherished grandpa of Gregory Barker, Sarah (fiance Colton Behl) Michalak and Travis Michalak. Brother of Patricia (the late Joseph) Waletzko and Christine (the late Wallace) Luck. Brother-in-law of Ann (the late Richard) Wisniewski. Preceded in death by siblings Jeanette "Jean" (Harry) Beaudry, Theodore "Ted" (Elizabeth "Betty"), Michael "Mickey" (Ann) and Genevieve "Joan" (William) Zahn. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Carl was a 1942 graduate of Boy's Tech High School and captain of the track team. He was a veteran of WWII, having served as a Marine in the South Pacific. After the war, he worked for Milwaukee County, starting in the Parks Dept and then as a Deputy Sheriff for 32 years, serving most of that time as a bailiff, before retiring in 1983. Carl was an avid golfer and enjoyed more time to golf after retirement. For 20 years, he spent winters in AZ allowing him to golf year round. He was a member of the Oakwood and Whitnall Sr. Men's Clubs and was Oakwood Sr. Club Champion for several years. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing but most of all, trips to the casino where he liked to play blackjack and penny slots. Visitation will be held at the Funeral Home Mon., Dec. 9, from 4-6:30 PM, with prayer vigil at 6:30 PM. Mass of Christian Burial Tues., Dec. 10, at 12 noon, St. Mary's Catholic Church, 9520 W. Forest Home Ave., Hales Corners (please meet at church). Interment to follow at St. Adalbert's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial to the charity of your choice. Special thanks to the staff of Hickory Park Assisted Living and Seasons Hospice for their compassionate care during the final months of Dad's life.
