I think of Carol often. I'm fortunate to see her artwork nearly every day. Working with Carol led to a friendship. One where we shared recipes, stories, garden successes and life anecdotes. She is alive in my memories. Wishing her family peace as they keep remembering and loving Carol.

I'm so happy that Carol's artwork continues to grace the world. As seasons pass since her death I think of her gardens, the view from her windows, her kitchen, and her kind spirited activism. She showed the way for how to live artistically, but not in a bubble. She cared about what was happening and lent her voice to the struggle.

I feel privileged and honored to have been able to call Carol a colleague, a fellow art teacher, and artist. She made a difference in the world, through her teaching and her art, and her legacy will be long-lasting.

Carol and I worked together all too briefly. We never actually met each other in person but we shared many emails, laughs, recipes and photos of food, family and friends. She was an immensely talented artist and it was a huge privilege to have worked with her.

Carol was a fellow art student at University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, a
friend and artist and intelligent, thougtful, so gifted woman. We go
back to the late fifties/early sixties
and since, each of us having two
daughters. I admired her greatly and
found her a wonderful thoughtful, exceedingly gifted woman and artist.
She leaves a tremendous hole in my
life.
gifted artist and woman.

Carol, Your beautiful spirit, political activisim and sensitive interpretations of the world around you will be missed by so very many. I will miss your beautiful photos of meals lovingly prepared by you for family and friends and your gentle soul. Here in California, your name comes up often as I talk about the lady whose art I bought from the old Dorothy Bradley Gallery on Downer Avenue and brought with me to Southern California. It hangs in spots where it can be admired by all who come in my home Goodbye Carol xoxo.

I am reeling still from the news. Carol was a vital part of our Wild Apple art family for many many years and I will miss her menus that she included along with her latest artwork. Sending love to her family. She shared stories of you, too, and I loved to hear what she did with daughters and grandchildren.

Carol's passing is a tremendous loss to her "art" family...she was a wonderful mentor to all of us.

Wisconsin has lost a gifted and talented artist, a warm and caring woman/sister/mother/nana/teacher, and a kind and thoughtful human. We are shocked and saddened by her sudden death. We will fondly carry in our hearts our wonderful memories of Carol.

My sympathy to Carol's family and close friends. She was a wonderful person, an inspiring artist and a generous spirit. Carol was one of my cooperating teachers when I was training as an art teacher since then I have known her as a friend and colleague. She will be missed by all who knew her.
