My sincere sympathy for your entire family. Uncle Chuck was very special to our family and remember many wonderful times that were spent together especially holiday get-togethers and picnics out at the park. I was very appreciative of all the time that he spent with my mom, Mabel Nienow, while she was in the nursing home. He managed to see her on a weekly basis and take her out to lunch and shopping as needed. He was a shoulder for me to lean on the day that my mom passed away. I will always remember him as my "favorite uncle" My husband admired him for the "uncle" that he was even to him. Uncle Chuck will be sadly missed.

Please accept my deepest sympathy for the passing for “Uncle Chuck”.
Your dad was not really my uncle although I called him that. I knew him through my aunt Mable when I was a little boy over 65 years ago. He always made time for Warner and me when my family visited the Nienows (Rinehart was my Mothers brother).
One of my memories of Chuck was the time he played “Doctor” at the Nienow residence, to remove cactus spines from my hand after I grabbed one of Aunt Mable’s cactus plants. He also gave us rides in the “Rumble seat” of an old car he had. I also remember the little blond Cocker Spaniel your Mom & Dad had, named “Smoocher”.
I lost track of him for decades until I asked Aunt Mable if she would have lunch with my wife and I and asked her to have Chuck join us. That was a few years before Mable died and the last time I saw my Uncle Chuck.
Chuck played a very small but significant roll in my life but one, that after some 65 years, I still remember.
