McDermott, Charles H. Of Shorewood. Entered Eternal Life Friday, July 11, 2008, at the age of 88 years. Beloved husband of 65 years to Natalie (nee Nickell). Dear father of Mary Hill (Bob) Kessler and the late Peter Brian (Piengpen). Grandfather of Linda, Marianne and Kristy McDermott. Brother of Helen Lawrenz, Ralph (the late Eleanor), the late Donald (Lana) and the late Jack McDermott. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Chuck graduated in business from Carroll College, was a retired general manager of Wisconsin Compensation Rating Bureau, and served in the Army during WWII. Memorials in Charles's name can be made to a charity of your choice. Private services were held. After a long and difficult struggle Chuck passed away peacefully at home with his family at his side. He was a loving and dedicated husband, father and friend. Chuck's wisdom, good nature, kindness, irrepressible determination, and enduring strength inspired us and he will be missed.
