Pastor Thornhill, you will definitely be missed by your entire congregation and of course, everyone whose lives you touched over the years.
Rickey and I were blessed to have you marry us seven years ago. Your mass choir will sing praises unto your name on Saturday. We will be singing your favorite song that we finally learned making you proud. I, personally, am not sad for I know you are where you want to be....with the Lord. Rest in peace.

The Ellis family is so happy to have met Dr. Charles Thornhill. He was a guest in our home in September of 2015 attending The Baptist Convention in Memphis TN. We were so sadden to hear of his passing. Whereby we are sadden,I know heaven is rejoicing. What an honor to have had him in our presence. We will hold this dear to our heart.

Sending my prayers out to the wife and family of Rev Thornhill. I met him at a funeral here in town and he was very supportive of my singing, only to find out later that he knew my dad out of Mt Sinai Bapt Church in North Chicago. God bless you all, Sincerely, Laurie (Gilbert) Lewis

I will never forget the experience of witnessing Pastor Thornhill sing Blessed Assurance. When he would get to the chorus - This is my story, This is my song, you knew that he meant every word. I have very found memories of him growing up at Mt Moriah. You have served well and I know that you are in heaven with our Lord and Saviour. My condolences to Mrs. Thornhill and the rest of the family. I know that you will miss him.
