Maj. Curtis Overholt

1920 - 2018

Overholt, Maj. Curtis February 7, 2018; made his journey back home peacefully with family at his side and in the care of Marquardt Village Hospice and staff. His legacy of longevity and resilience lingers to support the loved ones he leaves behind. Husband to his "Southern Bell" and wife of 60 plus years, Anita Minga Appleyard, who preceded him in death. Father to Richard (Liz), Janet, William (Tarra), Michael (Karen), the late Russell (Lynn) Overholt, Eva (Derek Dube) and Robert (Susan). Beloved grandfather of Avian Caruso (Dana), Kesai Riddick (Jackie), Sean, Sarah, Doni Carpenter, Brandon (Chelsea), Ashley, Nicole (Jason Seward), Jeffrey, Randall, Andrew Braatz (Alissa), Lucinda Briesemeister (Mitchell) and Margaret Braatz. Also blessed with twelve great-grandchildren and survived by loyal friends, acquaintances and a fond family of "church friends". Memorial Gathering at WISCONSIN MEMORIAL PARK Chapel of the Chimes, 13235 W. Capitol Dr., on Saturday, February 24, from 12:30 PM, until the time of Memorial Service at 2:00 PM. Private interment. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Stars and Strips Honor Flight or BTRO, Inc. (serving families of the fallen) would be deeply appreciated.
