I was surprised and saddened to read of Danny's recent passing. My heartfelt sympathy to all his family. Danny was the best childhood friend I could have had while growing up. I have so many warm memories of the fun we had while growing up across the alley from each other. Memories of playing with Danny's train set that Cas built for him and our farm sets(almost every kid in our neighborhood had one), the summer trips up to Amherst to the family farms of his Aunt Gina and Aunt Hattie and all the cousins up there and his grandparents. Those are especially warm memories for me--we had such a good time up there. Summer evenings filled with play after dark, bike riding and the freedom we had back then. Celebrating our 1st Communion together, walking to St. Helen's Grade School, traveling to Wisconsin Dells with our 2 families at a resort there one summer. The family parties and celebrations Danny's family always had and we were always invited to. Danny was always a kind and gentle person.
We lost contact as we grew up and went our own ways, but Danny will always have a special place in my heart and will continue to live on in those special remembrances of that childhood friendship.

Our prayers are with Dan's family. I had the privilege of getting to know Dan when I worked for St. Catherine. He was also my son Nick's (favorite) science teacher at St. Catherine. May Our Lord and Savior Bless him and his family.

Our sympathy, thoughts and prayers are with Dan's family and friends. Dan was our daughter's teacher at St. Catherine's school and a wonderful man. Thru out those years we also had the pleasure of being his friend and enjoying that friendship immensely. "Mr. L" will always be missed and fondly remembered by all of us.
