Darin and I were especially close friends in 6th/7th grade and I've known Darin from grade school through high school. Being at the funeral today and seeing familiar faces and looking at pictures from Darin's youth reminded me of so many great times laughing and having fun. It really hit me that we were great friends at one time and he was truly one of a kind. He will be missed greatly. My thoughts and prayers are with Darin and the Markie family. May God bring peace and joy to all of us.

The Markie Family,

We are so sorry for your loss. Darin truly had a heart of gold and I can’t believe that he is gone. Living with him for two years in college was a blast and I cherish the time that I got to know him. There wasn’t a day that went by that he didn’t get all of us to laugh or wasn’t able to stir up some trouble. He loved life and it showed. He was a man of character and a good friend to so many.

We are praying and will continue to pray for your family and know that God is looking out for him. May God bless and keep you during this difficult time.
