I was just thinking about my longtime, childhood friend/brother Jim, and the shock and confusion upon discovering why I wasn't hearing from him. He was a young 39 when he passed, and I miss him greatly. I still am waiting for a call or email from him, that I will never get. But I thought of his mom, Dawn, and now found out, through a Google search for her name, she has passed on to Eternal Life as well. I am sad to learn this. She was a good person, and always very kind to me. Be now with your son, Dawn. I know Christ is with you both.

My sincere sympathy for your loss. We were classmates at John Marshall High in 1965. She was such a sweetheart! I'll always remember her smile. Loved ya, Dawn!

I also enjoyed knowing Dawn from homeroom 232 and meeting her at one or two reunions. I missed not seeing her at the latest ones. My prayers go to her and to her family. She was a very pleasant person. Dennis Dembiec

I got to know Dawn back in the mid to late 80s when she was a member of our choir at Mary Queen of Heaven Parish in West Allis, and I also had the chance, with my Mom and my brother, to enjoy seeing her singing with Crosstown Harmony in many of their shows, as well as at the International Competition of Sweet Adelines that was held in Hawaii in 1987. Dawn was a very bright and cheerful woman who could make you laugh at any time, especially if you were feeling very down. Dawn is now singing in the heavnly choir with my Mom, and all of the other MQH and Crosstown Harmony singers who have gone before us. She will be truly missed by everyone whose lives she touched in a special way, especially with her music.

Dawn had a true passion for music and the "Upper Peninsula" of MIchigan! Her license plate reads "Sknaba" short for Escanaba. Dawns mother as well as my mothers maiden name was Laviolette. Our Laviolette family has had a re-union every year with 2014 being 35 years in a row!! She has been the photographer at this annual event and has multiple photo albums put together for each year. Great memories. She truly was a ray of sunshine and it burned even brighter in the "UP"!!! Say hi to the rest of the family Dawn, we love you and will miss you until we meet again!

Condolences to her family. I worked with Dawn at Xerox in the 70's. She was always full of sunshine every day. She will be deeply missed.
