Dennis Punko Obituary

Punko, Dennis John Dennis Punko of Sussex died unexpectedly at home Thursday, March 5, 2009. Dennis was born in Milwaukee on April 4, 1951, the son of Walter R. Punko and Jeanette (Kipps) Punko. Dennis was a former active bowler and golfer. He was a member of the National Guard for over 10 years. Dennis enjoyed traveling to Mexico, camping and fishing. Dennis will be sadly missed by his wife Jane (Leitzke) Punko, daughter Nikki (Brian) Treuber, granddaughter Kayla Punko, his father Walter R. Punko (Betty Ann), brothers Thomas (Pat) Punko, James (friend Tina) Punko, uncles Victor Punko and Emil Punko, sisters-in-law Sandy (Tom) Potter and Mary (Tom) Hoagland, nieces, newphews and long-time friend Joe DeQuardo. Preceded in death by his mother Jeanette Punko, father and mother in-law Harley and Lucy Leitzke, and brother-in-law Bill Leitzke. The family will visit with relatives and friends beginning at 4:00 PM and a celebration of Dennis' life will commence at 6:00 PM Tuesday, March 10, 2009, at Pagenkopf Funeral Home 1165 Summit Ave., Oconomowoc, Wisconsin. In lieu of flowers, charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated. Many thanks to the Waukesha County Sheriff's Department for their compassionate assistance at this time. We are truely sorry for your loss! I will miss him deeply as he was like a Father to me. Thank you Mom for all you and Dennis have done for me over the years.
