It is with great sadness I heard of the passing of John Schumacher in 2021 through a friend. I then realized the passing of his daughter Diane 17 years prior. It was many years ago that I had the pleasure of knowing and dating Diane while we were in high school. We attended prom in 1973 together and had a great time. I realized our lives took different paths but I never forgot her effervescence personality all these years later. She truly was a joy to know and was one of the happiest people I've ever met. I wish her family the absolute best and to let you all know my heart breaks for you all but the world is and always will be a better place having her in our lives even if it was for such a short time. God bless you all, tom.

Thinking about you today. I stop by and like to collect my thoughts sometimes at the cemetery. Sitting out there is so peaceful and I think of all the things I'd want to share with you. So many things have changed, but I can still hear your voice in my head. I mostly think of the mother's day outings we did every year. I miss that a lot.

Diane my friend I just came back to Wi., and tried to call you to once again get together. I am sad but know you are with God and soon we all will be togther. I have such great memories with you when we were so young (20's) and even when I saw you last 6 or so years ago, we could allways pick up like we never lost touch. I remember you were so happy. I miss you! I took Amber shopping with me for Black Friday, we had a good time. She was such a trooper, you would be proud. I have not been here in a while, but I sure am glad I have this to come to when I need to.
I miss you soo much!
Neil and I have done some new things to the house and while they were being done all I could think of was Mom standing there telling us it looked nice no matter how bad it really looked.
I am having a Rainbow Garden put together for you Mom, it will have all of your favorites in it, and you will have flowers from spring to fall.
I miss you more and more everyday, but I know when things get really bad that you are there to help me through it.
I am keeping my promise as I am sure you can see, the boys and Dad are well, and the kids are doing amazing.

Michael Konkol and I send our deepest sympathy to Diane's family and friends. Michael and I have fond memories of visits with Diane, her sisters, and their families, while visiting with Grandma Bernice. I remember when Michael first met Auntie Diane, as he called her, when he was about 3 or 4 and was sitting on her lap. He told me she was the prettiest Auntie he had ever seen. I love you more than words could ever explain. I wish that every woman could experience with there Mother-In Law what I have been able to experience with you. You really are my only "true" friend. I took a vow three years ago to always protect your son, and I will always hold that true.

After Glow

I was Diane's close friend in grade school and high school, we spent lots of time together back in the day and had lots of fun. She was such a sweet person and I will never forget her. My heart and prayers go out to Diane and her family.
