Dianne Peterson Obituary

Peterson, Dianne Marie Of Menominee, Michigan, passed away surrounded by her family on Saturday, February 25, 2012, one day before her 61st birthday, at Rennes Health Care East, following a 2 year battle with cancer. Dianne was born in Menominee February 26, 1951 to the late John and Doris (Kuhnle) Peterson. Dianne was a graduate of Menom-inee High School. She went on to graduate from Mt. Sinai School of Nursing in Milwaukee and stayed on to work at Mt. Sinai Hospital for over 30 years until moving back to her home town of Menominee 4 years ago to become a caregiver to her mother. She worked at Bay Area Medical Center for a short time until failing health forced her to retire. Dianne was very creative with crafting and crocheting, making gifts for her friends and family. She was a avid Packer fan and also enjoyed gardening, camping, and her yearly vacations in Door County with her Mt. Sinai friends, who she called her second family. Shopping was a real passion for Dianne. She loved cook outs and social events, but her family was most important to her. Dianne is survived by 4 brothers Ronald, Gary (Karen), John, and Jim Peterson; 1 sister, Debra (Denis) Vieth; Special friend Tom Bruno; and her lovable dog Abby; Nieces and nephews Amy (Mike) Kunesh, Dean Peterson, Pat (Chris) Noppenberg, Tom (Alicia) Noppenberg; great-nieces and nephews George, Grace, Gavin, Ava Kunesh, and Abigail Noppenberg. Visitation after 4:00 PM on Wednesday, February 29, 2012, with a Parish prayer service at 6:00 PM at Anderson Kell Funeral Home, Menominee, (906)863-5561. Mass of Christian Burial Thurs, March 1, 2012, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Menominee, at 11:00 AM. Father Rob Jurkovich officiating. Burial in Riverside Cemetery, Menominee. Dianne will be forever loved, forever be remembered, and forever be in our hearts. Dianne's family extends their appreciation to the BAMC Nursing Staff, BAMC Cancer Center Staff, and Rennes East Section 6 Nursing Staff for their wonderful care. Also to all those who sent cards, visited or just sent a prayer our way. Thank you.

Pete was a friend and a co-worker. All the nurses knew Pete was always there to help anyone of us. God Bless Her.
Pete's family should be proud of her and know she talked of them at work with deep love in her heart.

Dianne- I didn't know you had moved back home because I left Sinai 8 yrs. ago. We worked together on the committee(so many meetings!) for the nursing school alumni luncheon in 1996. I enjoyed our reminiscing. I was saddened to hear of your death-my condolences to your family and friends. Kathy Forster Zivicki-class of Mt. Sinai school of nursing 1973.
