Donna Lichucki Obituary

Lichucki, Donna L. Age 61, of Waukesha, formerly of Muskego and Tichigan, passed away at home on March 14, 2010. She was born in Waukesha, on October 31, 1948, the daughter of Harold and Kathleen (nee Connaught) Cook. She was a graduate of Muskego High School. She married Michael S. Lichucki on November 29, 1969, in Muskego. Michael preceded her in death on January 21, 1999. Donna was Norway Lutheran Church's secretary for many years. She helped with the food pantry and spent much of her time active within her church. She played computer games, and enjoyed trips to Potawatomi and Oneida Casinos with her family and friends. Most of all, Donna loved being a Mom and a Grandma. At certain times in her life she would take people under her wing and give them a place to stay, a home, a hug, or just someone they could call MOM. Survived by her father, Harold Cook of Milwaukee; three loving children, Michael (Brenda) Lichucki of Holmen, WI, Amanda (Christian) Lichucki of Waukesha and Amber (David) McCall of Franklin; twelve grandchildren; one sister Karen (Larry) O'leske; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by her mother Kathleen, husband Michael, and twin grandsons Joseph and Joshua. Services will be held on Saturday, March 20, at 2:00 PM, at Norway Lutheran Church, 6321 Heg Park Road, Wind Lake, WI. Visitation in Church from 1-2 PM on Saturday. Burial at Norway Hill Cemetery following services. In lieu of flowers, Memorials to Mealy Funeral Home to offset funeral expenses would be appreciated. MEALY FUNERAL HOME, INC. In two days it will be 8 years since you left me, Nana, you never fail to enter my mind when I'm down in the dumps. I miss you so much and I hope you and Papa are having fun fighting for Elvis, lol

To My second cousins, Michael, Amanda and Amber, Odd, but I was just thinking of your Mom last week, wondering how she was doing, remembering your Dad too, as kids, the store in Muskego. Then just yesterday,
through the grape vine of life, I heard
your Mom had joined your Dad with Our Lord. Know that your parents taught you well, and also know, that I will continue to think fondly of you all.
With Love and in Prayer

Sorry for your loss! Try to be positive and remember that your mom is in a better place now. I know that these are words easier said than felt, but it does get easier. I'm there for you; to talk to, cry to, to yell at, I'm there. I love you Amber and try to stay strong.

Dona was a person anyone could turn to, she will be greatly missed and thought of often. Our prayers are going out to her children and all of her grandchildren. I can remember when my mom and Dona would goto poto to have some "girl fun". She was an awesome mom and a great friend, she always was up for a laugh. Hugs & kisses to Amber & Amanda
