Jennifer, I was looking you up in FaceBook, and instead of you, I got an article about Gary's accident. I can't begin to understand all you're going through. But I want you to know you are cared about by many, even long lost friends. It has been years since I saw you and Gary...bumping into you briefly at Summerfest. I remember how much fun the two of you were having. While I know you are going through a most difficult time without him here with you, I also know that you are a very strong person. I haven't seen you with your daughter, but knowing you as you were growing up, and your supportive family...I know you are and will continue to be a great mom. God does work in mysterious ways. We don't understand why things like this happen. But He does not give you more than you can bare. He works ALL things for good. Lean on Him, he will carry you through. I pray for you and your family now and will continue to keep you in my thoughts and prayers. All my love to you and your family.

To the Meyer family,We are so saddened to hear of your loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. I ran into Gary at a soccer field at Wales Community Park this past fall, and he was coaching Sydney's team. I said "What do you know about coaching soccer?" Gary replied " Nothing. But if I didn't step forward there would be no soccer team." Gary was truly a special man. Marcel and Laura Cesar(Delafield, Wi)

I have been blessed to have gotten to know the Meyer family. Gary will be forever know at Bethlehem Preschool as the man who was like Joseph and brought all the bird houses for the kids to paint. There are over 20 bird houses hanging proundly in yards around the area. The kids may not have remembered his name, but they will always remember his kindness. I always enjoyed Gary's comical comments and great humor. He was a blessing to all who knew him.

Jennifer, Sydney, Uncle Don, Aunt Marion, and the rest of the family...
Words cannot express the loss of Gary, my most favorite cousin. Thoughts of out lives together as kids rushed through me as I heard of the tragic accident.
We fooled around with our other cousins at our grandparents on all occasions, always causing some kind of 'trouble' no matter what we were doing. Great times at all of the family get togethers, and the best times at the yearly Round Robins at Christmas time! Gary & I were so much the same as kids...building with the Erector set at grandma's, the lincoln logs, and the Tahiti Treat and raiding grandma's candy dish were top on our list at family gatherings.
Camping at Plymouth Rock in Elkart Lake was the best time in my life. We had so much fun, exploring the woods, collecting beer cans, riding on the mini-bike trails, corn roasts, the lake, go-karting with 'Fearless leader of the group' at Plymouth was a great time in my life with Gary and his family.
The trip we made to Pacific Stereo on 27th st, was awesome, miles of bicycle riding just to see each other was worth the sweat to get there!
Our trip to Florida in 1978 was the best, meeting up in Chatanooga Tennesee on the way down there.
Gary brought his friend, and we all had a blast, with our first ever visit to a Wendy's for a single and a Frosty!
I ran into Gary at Ace Hardware years ago in the parking lot at night, when he yelled, Hey, it that you Steve?
I hadn't seem him in years, but it was like we just seen each other the day before.
We lost contact for awhile after that, but after a messy divorce and a new beautiful bride in 2004, we reconnected at the unfortunate funeral of my own father. He met my new wife, had a pretty good time considering the circumstances, and vowed to re-connect again.
But as life unfolds, we talked many times, wanting to get together, Gary's main intrest was his daughter.
We were trying to get together many times after that, but it never materialized.
I am so sorry for not trying to get back with him, but you always think that there will be another time to reconnect.
It is very sad, but in retrospect, we had a great life, and I am glad that I had the privelege to have him in my life.
I'm sorry not to include my wife in this long and incomplete saga, but Erika is terribly sad and feeling great loss of one of my best friends, and surely my best cousin.
I love you Gary, and will miss you until we meet again.

Dear Jennifer-I can't get Gary out of my mind; the loss of a wonderful man, devoted husband and loving father to Sydney. He was such a positive person, knew his mind and where he stood on things, whether one would agree with him, or not. As a carpenter, he's was always building stuff or planning. But what I'll remember about Gary are the relationships he built with people that will endure a lifetime. And, we'll see it this week. Uncle "Googie's" rendition of Santa will always be fondly remembered by young and old. Gary building Ramps! I'll bet Jesus had Joseph build a ramp just for Gary to launch him into God's arms! But, I wish he was here...Love Ya "Jeffiner" --Bill Kuter
