Jim and I were just thinking of Gary last week as we drove through Memphis. Also, I was looking in my recipes for spareribs and there was Gary´s recipe. He is still with us!

My sympathy to Emily, Mark, and the rest of the family. I want you to know that I am grateful for all the hunting and fishing memories I had with Gary. From the conversations in the duck blind, to jump-shooting Palmer Creek, to walleye fishing on the chain, he was a great companion. I feel an emptiness now. Up North won't be the same. I'll think of him often.

Sincere sympathies to his beloved family and deep sadness overwhelms my heart for the loss of a dear friend. From the time WAC opened with him at the helm of the front desk to us working together down the road organizing racquetball leagues and tournaments until I retired and even after, he was a cherished friend and co-worker to the multitude of members and staff that knew him to be not only competent but sincere, dedicated and always there with his quick wit and sense of humor. We laughed a lot.!! As much as he loved the club his greatest happiness was when he and Emily retired up north to his beloved home in Boulder Junction where his love of the everything outdoors was there for them to enjoy. He’s gone too soon and will be missed by all who knew him and by me very deeply with fondest most cherished memories. Farewell ❤

I´m so sorry for your loss. I worked with Gary for many years, up until he retired from The WAC. He was so loved and respected by all of the members and coworkers. One of my favorite memories was his ability to tell the best and funniest stories. He always kept us laughing. My thoughts, prayers and love go out to Emily and his family. They meant everything to him. Rest in peace my friend, you will be missed.

Oh no, I just heard this heartbreaking news. Gary was the best of the best. As honest and genuine as a person can be. So honest in fact that he's end up with his foot in his mouth and all of us laughing so hard we'd have tears in our eyes. Like the time he reached over the front desk to tell "Val" as he pulled, that she had a hair on her face. It turned out to be attached! Or when someone would call and ask for Keith, and Gary would say, "Well, Ted's out golfing, but I think Keith is here. hang on." Hysterical! I was able to talk to Gary and exchange letters and pictures with him. It was refreshing to know he was right where he wanted to be; "Jane, I'll feel better once I see Milwaukee in my rearview mirror." (as he left his condo to head up north) I loved Gary's love for Emily. He always talked and told stories about her with such pride. A man who was true to his word, true to his wife, and true to everyone he friended. May you rest in peace, Gary.
