Grace Starke Obituary

Grace Ellen Starke

Germantown - (nee Gutschenritter) Passed away peacefully January 21st at the age of 92. Ellen was preceded in death by her beloved husband Jerry, brothers Dr. James and Dr. Charles Ritter, and sister Mary Darcher. Loving mother of Dan, Anne, and Deacon Jim (Amy) along with five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Ellen was a graduate of Marquette University School of Nursing and spent most of her career working in the emergency department at Milwaukee County Medical Complex. She worked in the first clinic in the Milwaukee area serving the HIV+/AIDS community. Ellen was also a distinguished member of Toastmasters International.

A private Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, January 27th at St. Boniface Catholic Parish, Germantown. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ellen's name may be made to the MacCanon Brown Homeless Sanctuary.
