Hello all - I wonder if anyone could tell me please if this is the Actor that was in the programme the professionals? If someone could point me in direction of someone that might know I'd be hugely grateful? Thank you.

Is this the same James butchart that was an actor in the professionals and the chief? I'm asking because I'm trying to find some information about James butchart the actor. Sorry if this is not him, but any response to let me know if it's him or not would be hugely appreciated. Thank you

I will always remember long chats about theatre outside with him. We always enjoyed chatting about the latest show we'd seen and the projects we were doing. I will miss Jim so much at every conference I go to!

Jim was my professor for "New Student Seminar", and he made the class way more exciting and interesting than it was supposed to be. He would share a lot of his personal stories and was so relatable. I am deeply sorry for your loss, and he will not be forgotten.

Jim was not only my professor but my mentor and a dear friend. I could go talk to Jim about anything a problem with a project or carrer choice. My last show at UW-WHITEWATER was directed by him and i got to share the stage with hus wife the great Leslie Fitzwater. Thank you oh captain for your leadership.

This is a sad time for all members of the Arts Community. Jim was one of our favorite actors and Directors. He made every production that he was involved in, the most enjoyable and inspiring. He will be sorely missed, and we wish his family the best. Future students will not be able to know of what they missed, but they will hear the stories of his talent.
Rest easy Jim,
Sincerely,
Rick and Jeanine Fassl

To the family of Jim Butchart, Our deepest sympathy and our prayers are with you at this time. Jim was way to young to be taken from you with cancer. The love and respect that his students had for him is evident in the UWWhitewater web site. I am sure that you are very proud of Jim's accomplishments and will miss his fun personality. May you find strength in God's love. Ron and Barbara Zimmerman

Dear Leslie and family,
My name is Sandy Hamm. My family lived on Columbia Avenue in Waukesha as did the Butchart family. We moved about a mile away when I was in first grade. Jim and I were both born in 1951 and graduated from high school together in 1969.
Our mothers (Dode Hamm & Wren) grew up together and went to school together a generation before us. I had many sleepovers with Jim and Bill, even before we moved that mile away in about 1958.
Jim and I attended school together through 12th grade. Also, I was a diver and dived with Bill for many years. Jim was always my friend and a gentle soul. You were blessed to share his life with him. You got one of the good ones!
Not knowing any details about the memorial in September, I can't say... but I would like to attend and hope to be kept abreast of the dates and details. How will one be able to donate to the proposed scholarship fund in Jim's name?
I send my condolences and will keep Jim and your family in my prayers. Feel free to contact me anytime.
