Dear Glen,
I just read the Dec Spire on-line and am shocked and saddened to learn of Jan's passing. I recall Jan's quiet kindness and her devotion to you and your family and your church. Her memory will live on in the hearts of the many she touched. Our prayer is that God comfort you during this holiday season and the memories of your beautiful Jan sustain you throughout time.

I knew Jan through our church the past decade or so and she was one of my favorite people because of her genuinely sweet, kind, quiet and helpful nature. Never a complaint or bad word to say about any one or any thing, just a can-do attitude of "what can I do to be of service?" Even throughout her illness these past months, she still found ways to help others at church and in her community. After last Sunday's service, there she was, carrying bags of donated food from the altar to the front door! We will all miss Jan's unfailing smile and sweet presence.

We wish to express our deepest sympathy to your wonderful family. We will miss Jan up north but we will remember her fondly. Due to a prior commitment, we are unable to make it to the visitation but we will be thinking of you and praying you will feel God's presence during this difficult time.

Our hearts go out to you as you mourn the unexpected passing of Jan. May it be a comfort to you that she was kept comfortable and is now in the very presence of our Heavenly Father. She will remain in your hearts forever and after this life you will be together again. We regret we are unable to make the visitation because we will be out of town but we will be thinking of you and praying for peace during this most difficult time.
