Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, wine in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO HOO what a ride!" That's is what Joan did.

There are a thousand words and reasons as to why Joan will be so missed, but none more accurate than the following:"There was only one true Joan, the Joan we all loved".

Joanie will be missed greatly by all of her family members. Joanie was the one who kept track of the many cousins and made sure we all stayed connected. Joanie was always the life of any party, full of fun, and sharing her joy with all of us. I will remember Joanie's love, enthusiasm, and caring. Who can think of Joanie without remembering her big smiles, happy face, great hugs, dancing, excitement...and her hair! I will miss her very much, for all of the good times we had and the love she shared. Fly free now Joanie! Dance to your heart's content!
