Jocelyn Flashinski Obituary

Flashinski, Jocelyn Marie Age 32. Beloved daughter, sister, aunt, niece, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, June 8, 2012. Jocelyn was born on October 28, 1979, the daughter of Stan and Linda Flashinski of Racine. Jocelyn was a sweet, smart, and beautiful young woman who everyone knew by her happy smile, her big eyes, and her warm heart. Jocelyn received her B.S. degree in Psychology from UW-Milwaukee, and has worked for over ten years as a therapist for children with autism spectrum disorder. She worked first with ABN, the Autism Behavioral Network, and most recently with ABA, Applied Behavior Analysts. She cherished her clients and worked with dedication to help them succeed. Jocelyn's favorite pastimes were reading, seeing her friends, and taking care of her new home. Life will never be the same for those of us who knew and loved her. In addition to her parents, Jocelyn is survived by: her sister Rachel (Peter) Weir; her brother Todd; and her brother Jeff (Amy); numerous other relatives and friends. Funeral services for Jocelyn will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, June 14, 2012, 6:00 PM, with the Rev. Tony Larsen officiating. Visitation will be Thursday at the funeral home from 4:00 PM until time of service at 6:00 PM. Private interment will be held at West Lawn Memorial Park. Memorial donations may be made to Olympia Brown Church or to the Jocelyn Flashinski Autism Memorial Fund to be used for the education of those with autism spectrum disorder. "Let us keep her memory, and in your life let remembrance linger, not as a ghost that haunts you, but as something precious to remember always." - Jane Patricia McCarthy, 1938, Jocelyn's great-great-great aunt MARESH-MEREDITH & ACKLAM FUNERAL HOME 803 MAIN ST., (262) 634-7888 Please send condolences to www.meredithfuneralhome.com

Sympathies to your family. I didn't know Jocelyn very well, but we grew up in the same neighborhood and she was always such a sweet girl. My son has autism and I know that his therapists have the biggest hearts and are rare people. May God bless you and her memory live on through you all.

Jocelyn was the best coworker in the world. She was the sweetest, non-judgmental, and caring person ever. She really lit up the room when she entered. Her dedication to her work was amazing and I will always look up to her. She made others feel so great about themselves. It was only the other day she was talking about getting a puppy. My deepest condolences to your entire family and friends. God bless

Jocelyn was such a special person and I hope she knew how many lives she has touched and made better just by meeting her. She taught me so much and change my life to the point of where I am today, becoming a special education teacher, because she showed me how to teach and care for children with special needs. She was my first senior at ABN and I feel so lucky and blessed to have learned all that I have from her. Not only did I learn how to teach children with autism from her, she taught me how kind and selfless people could be and she was one of those people. I will always remember her and do my best to treat others the way she did.

My thoughts and prayers are with the Flashinski family.

May Jocelyn be at peace.

Dear Stan, Linda & Family,
Words are totally inadequate at this time. You are in our prayers, as we wish to support you, especially this week. What a lovely young lady! A child should never go ahead of her parents. Much love, Heidi & Jerry Uick
