Joel Kowalewski Obituary

Joel J. Kowalewski

Passed away peacefully at home November 25, 2019 at the age of 72 surrounded by his family. Loving husband of Barbara (nee Knueppel) for 51 years. Proud father of Jennifer (Tom), T.J. (Carol Armstrong), and Casey(Erin). Loving Grampsy to Adley, and step-grandfather to Emilly. Loving brother to the late Dennis (Mary), Gary (Debbie), and Dick (Ann). Loving brother-in-law to Bob (Alyce) Knueppel, Diane (Billy) Green, and Joe (Lori) Knueppel. Survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends. Preceded in death by his parents Joe & Lorelle Kowalewski.

After graduating from Messmer High School in 1965, Joel served in the US Air Force for four years. Joel retired from AT&T after 40 years of service. In retirement, he simply loved being with Barbara, spending time with his children, and playing with granddaughter, his "peanut" Adley.

Visitation Monday, December 2, from 9-11 AM with Memorial Mass to follow at St. Anthony on the Lake Catholic Church, W280N2101 Prospect Ave., Pewaukee. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Lewy Body Dementia Association or St. Anthony on the Lake Parish would be appreciated.

Sincere sympathy to you and yours, Barb. I have fond memories of Joel and the whole family visiting St. Paul when we were kids. We always had so much fun - I loved his sense of humor. God rest him in peace. Cousin Jackie

Heartfelt solace to the family. May your memories of Joe bring warmth and smiles. I remember playing lots of monopoly when we were kids. Cousin Coleen.
