It was an honor to know him. His humor and light will be something I'll always remember; along with the loving banter between himself and Aunt Joan.

I worked with John for many years at A.S. Hansen and Mercer. He was a wonderful mentor and a kind and gracious man. I count it a blessing to have known him. I'm so sorry for your loss, but I know you will see him again.

I can barely type...
I don't any of you. Your father and grandfather was so fond of me and I never knew why. I am a sports photographer who bartended at The Swingin' Door in downtown Milwaukee. He was so fond of my sports photography, and his interest and so many kind words, have no bounds to me and I treasure them...a Smirnoff cocktail to my sweet friend....He spoke often and proud of all of you.

Because we will be out of town, we will only be able to attend in spirit. John was a mentor of mind and a truly kind and compassionate person. I have to believe he is already celebrating the fruits of his great life.
