John Kantak Obituary

Kantak, John T. Jr. Age 76 of Waterford passed away at Memorial Hospital of Burlington on December 10, 2007. Born October 28, 1931 in Milwaukee the son of the late John T., Sr. and Lorraine (nee Kafinski) Kantak. He spent his early life in Milwaukee and on July 5, 1952 he married Virginia A. Pociecha, who survives him after 55 years of marriage. John was employed and a member of Heat and Frost Workers Local 19 and retired from there since 1988. John enjoyed fishing and hunting especially with his special cousin and best friend Wayne Kantak. Survived by loving wife of 55 years Virginia; three children, Debra (Archie) Odem, Timothy (Jackie) Kantak and Jeffrey (Sandra) Kantak; grandchildren, Nicole, Ryan, Jenna, Justin and Tyler; great-grandchildren, Jordan and Hunter. Further survived by one sister LaVern Wachowiak, sisters-in-law, Joann Rupcic and Mary (Greg) Rupcic; special cousin and best friend Wayne Kantak; nieces nephews, other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his parents, one sister Janelle, one brother-in-law Mike Rupcic, mother and father-in-law Ray (Laural) Pociecha. Memorial Gathering Friday 4-7PM in the funeral home, Services at 7 PM with Reverend Lawrence Williams officiating.
