Though Earth is a little darker now that you have left us we know that Heaven is now a little brighter, a little better, now that you're there.

As a teacher, I believe that we take pieces of the teachers that we grew up with and incorporate them into ourselves and our teaching. Mr. Osterman touched many lives including mine. God bless your family in this difficult time.

My grandpa was a wonderful man. He welcomed everyone with open arms and treated everyone like family. He aways made people laugh-even if it was him making jokes on himself. I will always remember all the memories I've had with him. I love you forever and always grandpa froggy

My name is Dick Figlesthaler. I am 83 years old and the first cousin on John Osterman. As a young boy, I was very close to my Aunt Millie. I visited the Osterman's often throughout the years. I remember giving "horsie-back rides " rides to little Johnny. I also remember how smart John was as a boy. I have a copy of the beautiful poem he wrote when his mother died. Sincere sympathies to the family, Cousin Dick.

John was my uncle and a great guy. He inspired me to go to college and was a smiling face at every family reunion. I particularly remember how fun it was seeing the new additions to his super-railroad that he kept adding onto in the basement. RIP Uncle John! Love Jodi
