John Rychner Obituary

Rychner, John "Jack" D. John "Jack" Dennis Rychner left this world on Fathers Day, June 17, 2018 after a prolonged battle with Hodgkin's lymphoma. Jack leaves behind his loving wife Marion (Weinstock) Rychner and son James "Jim" Rychner. Jack was born on May 2,1934 to Frank and Alpha (Mattusch) Neiztzer and upon his father Frank's death, was raised by his mother Alpha and "second father" Charles Rychner. Jack was an avid outdoors-man, loving to be outside whenever possible. He loved hunting, fishing and any outdoor work that got his hands dirty. Born in Milwaukee, Jack served in the Air Force and went on to work for a local manufacturing company in a management position. Known for his sense of humor, Jack loved a good (or bad) joke or prank. He never took things too seriously and lived life fully. He will be greatly missed by many. A private memorial service will be held. Jack is also survived by Marlene Sperka, Jean Wadsworth, Charles Rychner, Penny Kannall and many other members of Marion's family and dear friends. The family wishes to express their deep appreciation to the entire staff of the Clement Zablocki VA Palliative Care Unit for their excellent care of Jack over these many months. The family also wishes to thank the many friends and relatives who visited, prayed and helped in so many ways (in Wisconsin, Washington D.C. and West Virginia). In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial gifts be made to the VA Palliative Care Unit, Clement J. Zablocki Medical Center 5000 West National Ave., Milwaukee WI 53295. Please make checks payable to "Palliative Care Unit" and reference Jack Rychner memorial in memo section.
