Dear Eric,
I was sad to read about your wife Julie's passing in the paper.
she sounds like she's a lovely person. I won't use the word "was" because I know she is very much alive in your heart.I can understand your grief because I lost my husband
Tom 18 months ago. It sounds like Julie and Tom respected a healthy life style. Tom never smoked and rarely drank. He was very physically fit, walking 18 holes of golf in a day until he was diagnosed with cancer. I took an absence from work so we could take this journey to battle his cancer together. Our journey abruptedly ended 3 months later.I loved him very much and still do. My best advice I can offer you ,is to let your family and friends who love you so much help you get through this most difficut time. When you are ready and if you would like to talk, please give me a call.I understand probably better then most what your grief feels like.
My deepest sympathy

Dear Eric, Jared, Caleb... Family and Friends of Julie,
Our hearts are grieved and sadden to hear of Julie’s loss...it is a great loss for so many. I will be eternally grateful for the love, encouragement and support Julie gave us when our daughter Megan was battling chronic pancreatitis for over two years. Through Divine arrangements and His mercy we were introduced to Julie!
She immediately took us under her wing and began to teach us everything she knew about the body and what it needed to get well. At times it was overwhelming, but every step of the way Julie walked us through, encouraging us, praying for us, teaching us through her own tenacity and strength never to give up but to trust that there was a better way to live and heal. Julie’s love her sons, family and for those she served at LCHC was undeniable and blessed so many. She has left a lasting legacy to all who knew her and were blessed by her gift of healing. I rejoice in knowing that she is now in the presence of the One whose healing is eternal!
May you know God’s grace and peace in the days to come and may you forever find comfort in treasured memories. Our thoughts and prayers are with you...Dave and Katherine Berka

The Golden Heart
God saw you getting tired
and a cure was not meant to be,
So he put his arms around you
and whispered "Come to Me".
With tearful eyes we watched you,
as we saw you pass away.
Although we loved you deeply,
we could not make you stay.
Your Golden Heart stopped beating,
hard working hands at rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us,
HE ONLY TAKES THE BEST.
May God extend the peace that passes all understanding to each of Julie's boys, Eric, family and all reading this. You've been and always will be in our thoughts and prayers.
