Kenneth Gora Obituary

Gora, Kenneth L. Age 80, of Watertown and formerly of Milwaukee, died on Saturday morning, January 9, 2010, at Marquardt Memorial Manor, in Watertown. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, January 13, 2010, at 2 PM, at St. Henry Catholic Church in Watertown with Father Brian Wilk officiating. Burial will be at St. Bernard's Catholic Cemetery in Watertown. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 12 noon until the time of the service. Memorials to St. Bernard Catholic Church appreciated. The Hafemeister Funeral Home of Watertown is in charge of arrangements. Kenneth Leo Gora was born on November 29, 1929, in Milwaukee, the son of Leo and Anita Gora. After graduating from North Division High School in 1948, Ken served in the U.S. Army. On May 22, 1954, he married the former Lois Feierstein at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Milwaukee. Ken worked for the City of Milwaukee for 38 years. He was a former member and dedicated Secretary for the City of Milwaukee Association of Municipal Engineers, and a member of Watertown Elks Lodge. Ken was a member of St. Bernard's Church in Watertown where he previously served on the cemetery association. Ken enjoyed small woodworking projects and reading. He loved spending time with his family. He was the beloved husband of Lois (Feierstein) and devoted father of Patti (Steve) Gora-McRavin, David, Mary Kay (Ken) Gahagan, Mike (Chris Puls) and Paul (Peggy). Much loved grandfather of Tim and Annie Krautkraemer, Erin and Michael Gahagan, Rachel and Dan Puls, Kelly and Peter Gora. Ken is also survived by three sisters-in-law and two brothers-in-law.
