Marsha Jacklin Obituary

Jacklin, Marsha Louise (Nee Divine) Age 60, found peace on Sept. 24, 2006 at the Zilber Family Hospice after a four year battle with cancer. Beloved wife of 39 years to George. Devoted mother to her sons, Jeff (Tina) and Joel. Beloved sister of Karen Miller (Robert Jenkins) and Charles Divine (Kathy). Sister-in-law of John Jacklin and Barbara Hernandez (Michael). Aunt to Tim Miller (Deb), Alexis Divine, Ben Jacklin, Aaron Jacklin (Lynda Rosales) and Jenny Jacklin (Tono Rondone). Great-aunt to Jeffery and Jaleesa Larson, Aalaiya Jacklin and Sophia Rondone. Also survived by many other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by her parents, Archie Divine Jr. and Lola Divine (nee Sorenson) of Edgerton, WI. Marsha graduated from Janesville Senior High School in 1964 and then attended UW-Milwaukee where she met her husband, George. After receiving her BS in Education, she taught Spanish at North Division High School in Milwaukee for five years until becoming a stay-at-home mom to her sons. She worked summers at the Wisconsin State Fair, becoming Superintendent of the Junior Fair Entry Department. She earned her M.S. Degree in Business Administration from UWM and started her own successful practice, "Marsha Jacklin, CPA". She later returned to UWM as an accounting instructor in the School of Business. Marsha was an active supporter of her sons' activities in athletics, music and academics. This involvement extended to her community. She was an active PTA member, president of the West Allis American Little League, treasurer of the West Milwaukee Mustang Booster Club, a two-term member of the WAWM School Board and a member of the City of West Allis Plan Commission. She loved her family and friends and enjoyed bowling, playing cards, casino gaming, watching the UW marching band and football team and babysitting her granddogs, Georgia, Monty and Randy. Visitation will be 4:00 to 5:30 PM on Thursday, Sept. 28, 2006 at the Schaff Funeral Home, concluding with a Memorial Service where friends and family will be invited to share their memories and stories of Marsha. Following the Service, all are invited to gather for food and refreshments and to celebrate her life. Marsha, you loved and were loved and will always be in our hearts. Your courage and determination have inspired us all. Rest in Peace. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society would be appreciated. SCHAFF FUNERAL HOME 5920 W. Mrs Jacklin was a wonderful part of my life as well as a great influence on my life growing up. She was always fun and had a fantastic sense of humor as well. She even laughed at my humor. She was a very supportive mother to all of us. I am sure that God's baseball team needs a scorekeeper and they have been waiting for her. You will be missed.
