Mona L. Goodnature

Goodnature, Mona L. (Née Bensend) September 13, 2013, age 88 years. Longtime resident of Shorewood. Beloved wife of the late George Wilson Goodnature. Loving mother of George Ardin (Catherine) Goodnature and Lisa Brickler (Dan Visoky). Proud grandmother of Cayla Goodnature, Kiera Goodnature (Sean Degman), George Arthur Goodnature and John Brickler. Mother-in-law of the late John Brickler. Sister of Lauriets (Mary) Bensend. Further survived by other relatives and many friends. She was a veteran of WW II, member of the Shorewood Women's Club (past President), Friends of the Shorewood Library, Women's Court and Civic Conference, Jane Austin Society, and a past member of the Shorewood Historical Society. She was a school teacher for 32 years, 28 with the Milwaukee Public Schools. She was a great supporter of the Arts in Milwaukee with her memberships in the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, Milwaukee Ballet, the Art Museum and the Milwaukee Public Museum as well as many local theater companies. Visitation will take place on Friday, September 20, from 5:00-8:00 PM at Northshore Funeral Services Chapel and from 9:00-10:00 AM on Saturday, September 21, at Luther Memorial Chapel, 3833 N. Maryland Ave., Shorewood, WI 53211, with the Funeral Service scheduled for 10:00 AM. Private family interment at Graceland Cemetery.
