Jen and Seth,
My sincere sympathy to you and your wonderful families.
I will never forget meeting your mother for the first time at Jen's wedding shower. She was such fun! And even though she was the busy mother of the groom at the wedding, she took time to talk to me, to ask about my life in Texas and to comment on our little Gus, who was a two-year-old terror at the reception. She made a lasting impression on me and my family.
Memories are the legacy of love. May happy ones carry you through this sad time.

A fond memory of my childhood is our family trips/hangouts...one thing is clear: your Mom loves her boys (all three of you) very much...for you could do no wrong in her eyes (no matter how mean you were to us girls). I believe she will miss you just as you miss her.

Nancy, during these few years that you and Mark moved to Bayfield, we got to know you and called you friend, your warmth and loving heart made us felt as we know you for a long time. I will miss seing you around and going out for margaritas just the two of us and talking about our families. Your smile will always be shining over us.

So saddened about the loss of Nancy. She was so full of life and love...will deeply miss spending time with her in our visits to Bayfield. Snowshoed with her along Lake Superior in January. She so loved the area and the beauty of Bayfield and Lake Superior...and so loved all of you. She talked of her family and granddaughter often. You are all in our thoughts and prayers. Dear Mark and family,
It has now been written in the Book of Life: Nancy L. Jerabek June 18, 1956 - April 21, 2008.
But what matters most of all is the DASH between those years!! That little line represents all the time she spent alive on this earth and only those who loved her know what that little line is worth.
Nancy spent her dash surrounded by so much love, from her family of origin, to her husband whom she adored and her children who she loved deeply. Her heart opened to include her two daughter-in-laws and fairly burst at the seams when Olivia arrived. How lucky we ALL are to have known and loved her. I am not family...but she loved me like a favored member. She was my "sister", my mentor, my friend. I share your grief.
This I do know.... life WILL go on, but it will just not be the same without "Party Pants."
