Natalie Szopinski Obituary

Szopinski, Natalie Spent over 20 years as an employee of Johnson Controls. But her true passion was in the kitchen. The holidays were her favorite time of year and many were lucky to receive her handmade chocolate creations. After the passing of her parents, Frank and Lucille, Natalie selflessly was the loving caregiver of her younger sister Sandy. They shared their love of crafts and spent their days filled with laughter and visits by friends. Natalie suffered a spinal stroke in 2010 that would confine her to a wheelchair. With the support of her friends and family she was able to continue to provide a home for both her and Sandy. Natalie will be missed by her sisters, Sandy and Ellen (Andy Cook), loving Aunt Grace and Uncle Toby and cherished friends: Annette (Dave Behnke), Kay Knuppel and Sharon Floryance. The family will receive relatives and friends at Holy Cross Cemetery-North Chapel, 7301 W. Nash Street, on Thursday, October 6, 2011, from 11:30 AM until a Memorial Service at 12:00 PM. An Old Irish Blessing May the road rise up to meet you. May the wind always be at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face, and rains fall soft upon your fields. And until we meet again, May God hold you in the palm of His hand.

My thoughts and prayers are with your family and friends. I never met Natalie in person, only over the phone. For many years I loved hearing her voice and sharing the simple things in life that was brought to us both. It broke my heart when she passed away. There will be no more phone calls, but I will never forget you Natalie, you will always have a place in my heart.

I was sooo sad to hear that Natalie passed away. You will be so greatly missed by your friends and love ones. I can still remember how we would talk in Cherrywood, and how you loved to cook. Your
home was always opened to everyone. You took care of Sandy and Bandit with such love. Natalie had such a love of life and she made sure you felt at home. Yes, Natalie you will be missed... Your friend

Sandy & Grace, our hearts ache with the loss of Natalie. We visited for years over the telephone as employees of Johnson Controls. We never got around to meeting each other face to face however the conversations and memories of our laughter we will carry forever. Sandy we will keep in touch with you and hopefully some day make it to Milwaukee.

I was deeply saddened to hear that Natalie passed away. She will be missed by many. Her smile and laughter warmed many hearts. I worked with her at JCI 20+ years and we shared lots of laughs. She was a very kind and considerate person who was always willing to help out and go the extra mile. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family at this time of great saddness.

I'm so sorry for the lost of your sister Natalie. I worked with Natalie here at JCI for about five years. Natalie was the person who was the "go to" with all my questions. She was always nice about answering all the questions even when I asked them more then once.
