Tomlin, Nicholas "Nick" Of Brookfield, took off at 9:23 PM on May 7, 2013, at the age of 23. Precious son of Julie and Jim. Admired by Michael his brother, and his dog Mollie. Also survived by his grandfather, Don Tomlin, grandparents, John and Rita Burckhardt, great-grandmother Helen Zitzner, many adored aunts, uncles and cousins, and Brittney Dean, the beautiful girl he loved, and countless friends. Met in heaven by his grandmother Celia Tomlin, great-grandparents John and Ollie Burckhardt, grandfather Orbin Zitzner and his beloved dog Jake. Family and friends will gather at the Funeral Home, Brookfield, on Saturday, May 11 from 2 to 4:15 PM. Followed by a celebration service at 4:30 PM. Memorials to the Elmbrook Humane Society or Wisconsin Donor Network deeply appreciated. Nick was in this Life curious, fun- loving, caring, kind, inquisitive, intelligent, energetic, giving and yes, sometimes crazy. In Eternal Life he is already showing us skies have no the limits. Nick's legacy will continue on when we meet the three lives he is helping to save with the gift of his golden heart, his liver and kidneys.

Although I only met Nick this winter on our annual snow mobile trip, he and I talked alot about life/goals. Nick reminded me of myself at his age...when we all met him we "nick" named him "the boy" for the weekend. He now has many adventure's yet to be had in heaven with loved ones. I am saddened deeply to hear of your loss. You are in my prayers and the entire Vermeer family supports you.
How wonderful that Nick has entered eternal life in Heaven.

I was so moved to read that Nick is giving the gift of life to others through donation. As you know my daughter Gracyn received a heart transplant when she was nine years old. I know the pain is deep but I also know of the great joy Nick has shared and the ongoing impact he is making in the lives of others.

May God bless you and keep you, may His face shine upon on you and be gracious to you. May the Lord lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace.

Nick was a Master of all, he would do anything for anyone. He was the son I never had, he will never leave my heart and through.NICK the kid that wanted to do everything the same day.
