Peter May Obituary

May, Peter Francis "Pete"

Passed away on Wednesday Feb. 20, 2008 at his home in Wauwatosa after battling lung cancer, aged 60 years. Eldest son of Peter E. and Eileen M. May, he is survived by wife Judy (Bazan) and children Jennifer, Peter, Alyssa and Patrick. Also survived by his mother Eileen (Baraboo, WI) and sisters Cathleen (Worcester, MA) and Marie May (Kurt Wong, Madison, WI) and brothers Patrick (Pam Harwood, St. Cloud, MN) and Timothy (Saskatoon, SK). Uncle of Colin, Shannon and Janna. Further survived by a number of cousins, aunts and uncles. He was born in Madison, WI, grew up in Milwaukee, attended UW-Milwaukee and was a member of Alpha Phi Omega. Peter was a lifelong Milwaukeean and Packer fan. His life's work was spent as a designer, woodworker, furniture finishing craftsman working with Studio Design, Northlake, WI and his own company Peter May Woodfinishing. An avid golfer and dart thrower, he enjoyed working with his hands, hand tools and all wood related projects. Important in Pete's life were nature, fishing and Sheepshead with fellow APO fraternity "brothers". No visitation or service is planned, memorial contributions may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis foundation or charity of choice. All those who knew Pete well will miss him greatly.
