Peter was my patient at Community Care, I was his RN. Let me say that in my meetings and caring for Mr. Pizzino, I quickly learned that he was an AMAZING man in his younger years AND at the time I worked with him. He often spoke of the love he had for all of his children, and spoke about them incessantly. This was an UNSUNG Man. I admired you Peter and you found a special place in my heart. My husband and I would talk lately, and I'd say I wonder about Peter Pizzino often. My husband also met him. He thought Peter was quite the character. We loved the reads in his book. He took great pride in the book. I'd often wish that it could have more readers because of the way he portrayed the early third ward and all his dealings with the other characters in his book. He'd say, well you know I'm selling my book for $12. The book was captivating and took the reader with no prejudice right to the scene. I've looked for my book, I'd like to have another. Also He'd often brag about how good a cook he was. Spaghetti was his specialty. I miss you Peter and may you rest in Heaven. God Bless

Peter was our cugino across the street on Kendall Ave in Glendale Wisconsin. Peter would kid around and say "if only he were 20 years younger...." Our family enjoyed his company during Sunday dinner, Holiday or Special Occasion. Peter even went to Italy with my parent Filomena and Joseph Greco for a trip of a life time. A time they would talk about every time they would meet. People don't remember thing they receive, they remember the times that they share. I'm glad we met you Peter, and I'm sorry I was not able to see you before you left but as I told you on the phone and now your family and friends, you are gone but never forgotten. We shall see you again as Jesus promised us everlasting life on heaven. Tina and Dale Menghe AKA Greco

Pete with Cartwright family, 2003
July 16, 2014
To the family of Pete Pizzino:
My husband and I would like to add our condolences to you about the death of Pete. Pete was a friend of Ernie Cartwright and in the late 1990s and 2000's, Pete was often a guest for family dinners many times. He often bought Italian sausage and peppers and he was always fun to have around at our parties. After Ernie's death in 2007, we did not see Pete as often, but remember him fondly. It was a pleasure knowing him. Best wishes,
Carol and David Cartwright, Whitewater, WI
