Reternity meeting June 2012

The Page Turners Book Club had learned of Pete's passing just yesterday. I have received many responses from our members who expressed how much they will miss him at our meetings. Pete joined our group just a little over a year ago. He always did his due diligence and read the two books a month with pleasure, rarely missing a meeting. He blended in with the group immediately with his insight on each book, his unique sense of humor and wonderful laugh. I can replay his smile and laughter in my mind and am thankful for the gift of having known him.
Good Bye for now Pete, I hope to see you again.

I was shocked and saddened to hear of Pete's passing. I also only knew him through the Page Turners book club, but he was always a joy to be around. He added so much to the discussions and always in a very positive manner with a smile upon his face.

I knew Pete through the Page Turners Book Club he was a member of. It was a pleasure to see his smiling face when he attended our meetings. Pete always had insightful and interesting things to add to our discussions. I am saddened to hear of his passing. Rest in peace my friend. May you be in a better place. You will be missed.

I'm a member of Pete's book clubs, The Page Turners, that met at Boswell Books. I only knew Pete for a year or so, but he was so kind and thoughtful and he was a really fun and valuable member of our group. I am so sad to hear of his passing, and I'm sure he touched so many lives!

I think it is safe to say that Peter R. Stich was an anomaly.
The Stich family had a large hand in raising me which made Pete as close to an awesome uncle or older brother as it could get. He was an intellectual, kindhearted …and ageless. He was one of my best friends growing up. Pete and his brother, Phil, would almost always be up for activities from going on the boat to go tubing and skiing to doing science experiments … and OF COURSE spinning us kids around ….. and of course “pulling your lariat.”
Pete will live on forever in my memory and “may your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.”

Peter always had a good word and a great attitude. He always saw the sunny side of things and was a joy to be around. He will certainly be missed.

Pete remains the most honorable, conscientious, kind and lovable person anyone could know. My heart breaks for Helen, Don, Phil, and Tina, and my deepest sympathy to them and all those close to them and their dear Pete.

Peter, you will be missed. Peter had a special quality to make time with him fun and to make you feel good. One less special person in the world now. Deepest sympathy to the family.

SO sorry to hear of Pete's passing. Although we never stayed in touch over time, it's hard to believe it's been 40 years since hanging out at your house in NB! Thoughts and prayers to everyone in the family in this difficult time.

Pete was a terrific person to work with. Always compassionate and thoughtful with a genuine smile and friendliness. I will miss him as will many others, I am sure.

My most sincere sympathy for the Stich Family and Ron. I was blessed with having Tina and Ron for neighbors and we would do Sunday get-togethers with Pete and Phil. Laughing with them and Don & Helen when they were in town. Pete is at peace now, and probably peeling potatoes, an old joke because I never made enough of them. Words of comfort seem shallow; so I will pray for all of his loved ones, family and friends.
