Raymond Cvecko Obituary

Cvecko, Raymond J. At the age of 85. Ray went into the light to meet his brothers and sister on October 22, 2010. Ray grew up in Milwaukee and graduated from West Division High School. He served in WWII under Patton. He attended Layton Art School and graduated with a degree in commercial art. He met his lovely gal, Lee, whom he was married to for 62 years and with whom, raised three children. He worked for several advertising firms, owned his own business (C&C Industrial Arts), and retired from Larsen Engineering in 1994. Ray enjoyed his retirement by spending time with his family, taking photographs, playing the harmonica, collecting Eagle memorabilia, watching the Brewer's, but, most of all, watching his grandchildren playing sports. Ray is survived by his wife, Leora; his children Susan Collins, Sharon (Robert) Hoffmann, and Scott (Dawn) Cvecko. Loving grandfather of Matthew (C.J) Breska, Kimberly (Joe) Erwine, Ty Hoffmann, Trina (Tom) Domenech, Ryan and Kyle Cvecko. Great-grandfather of Layne Breska; Anthony, Dallas, and Angelo Erwine; Jade and Tommy Domenech and Connor Hoffmann. Also survived by his sister, Virginia Dennis. Further survived by other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 26, from 12:30 PM until the time of Service at 2:30 PM, at WISCONSIN MEMORIAL PARK-CHAPEL OF THE CHIMES, 13235 W. Capitol Dr., Brookfield. I am fondly remembering Mr. Cvecko especially with veterans day coming up. I always had a great time talking to your dad, Scott, during the many sleepovers and all those years growing up. Mr. Cvecko was a really cool dude.

Raymond Cvecko was one of the finest men I have ever known. He mentored me through my early adult years and although I still did my own thing sometimes, I carry much of his wisdom in my heart. I was priviledged to have him as my 1st father-in-law.

He showed great character throughout those years we shared. His family will miss him and so will I.

Respectfully and with love,

John Breska

Dear Uncle Ray,
I have many fond memories of the Cvecko family Christmas celebrations. You always had a smile for all of us and usually a funny story as well. But I especially remember sleep-overs with Sue, dancing to Sue's Supreme records and laughing over young girls fantacies. You always made me feel welcome in your home thus making you one of my very favorite Uncles :) May you find continued peace and joy with our Father. Lovingly, Your Niece, Denise
